Meet Apryll
Hi, I’m Apryll. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor offering trauma-informed therapy grounded in safety, genuineness, and gentle accountability. I believe healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. I believe therapy is a space that allows you to breathe, settle, and be seen without judgment.
My approach blends evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, and DBT skills with a relational, human-centered style. I’m not a “blank slate” therapist; I show up authentically, with warmth, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience.
I work primarily with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity-related stress, and patterns that feel hard to break. Many of my clients are seeking a therapist who understands the importance of cultural safety and intersectional identity. I honor the complexity of your story and the strength it takes to share it.
Core Values
Safety: Healing requires a foundation of trust. We build it slowly, intentionally, and collaboratively.
Genuineness: I show up as a real person, not a distant expert. Authentic connection matters.
Gentle Accountability: Growth requires honesty, but never harshness. I support you while challenging patterns that no longer serve you.
Trauma-Informed Care: Your nervous system, your history, and your pace guide the work.
Outside of the therapy room
When I'm not with clients, I enjoy slowing down through creative projects, spending time with the people (and pup) I love, and finding little moments of joy in everyday life. I believe the things that help us feel grounded matter. For me, that means journaling, trying out new coffee shops, painting, and unwinding with a good book or board game after a long week. My dog Billie is also a wonderful reminder that slowing down, and embracing the occasional afternoon nap can be healing too.
These experiences remind me that healing isn't always found in big breakthroughs. Sometimes it's found in learning to breathe a little easier, reconnecting with ourselves, and making room for moments that feel meaningful.
